Dr. Ahmed Abdullah, a board-certified plastic surgeon and aloe researcher, developed Lexli because he wanted to offer his patients the best formulation of ingredients to ensure optimal skin health post-treatment and beyond. A pioneer of the practice of using pharmaceutical-grade aloe in plastic surgery for the treatment of skin damage and to accelerate post-procedure healing, Dr. Abdullah specifically searched for a pure aloe-based skincare line he could offer in his practice. In 1996, after his search came up fruitless, he used his background in chemistry and biology to formulate Lexli’s most celebrated product, AloeGlyC® Renewing Exfoliant.
Featuring ingredients with proven efficacy, AloeGlyC® was initially made available only to Dr. Abdullah’s patients. Their results quickly led to resounding demand for wider availability.
